Project Management

Foundations of Project Management

Completing projects successfully, on time, and within budget is a major organizational problem today. Careful planning and control can help companies ensure product and service quality, reduce costs, and compete in today’s rapidly changing environment.

Project Planning
Too often, individuals begin complex projects without thorough planning. The results of this lack of forethought can be missed tasks, double work, interpersonal conflict, and ever changing deadlines.

Risk Management
Regardless of the size of a project, there are always risks that must be considered. It is therefore important to plan for, identify, analyze, and control these risks, to increase the likelihood of a successful project.

PMP® (Project Management  Professional) Exam Preparation
Preparing for (and ultimately passing!) the PMP® exam is a major challenge for project managers. This program covers all the required project management knowledge areas, in addition to test taking techniques and practice questions. Individuals who complete this program will dramatically improve their chances of passing. This program also satisfies the 35 hour training requirement for an applicant to be eligible to sit for the exam

PMP® (Project Management Professional) Exam "Crash Course"
There are occasions when project managers need a refresher program, before they feel comfortable sitting for the PMP® exam. This program reviews all of the required project management knowledge areas, in addition to test taking techniques. This program integrates all of the PMBOK® Guide content into a one day session. The program serves as an ideal review for those individuals who are nearly ready to sit for the PMP® Exam, or those who wish to see the “big picture” of PMI’s project management methodology in one day.

An Executive Overview of Project Management

Often executives and senior managers are the primary leaders of projects.  To enhance their credibility and contribution to the success of projects, these individuals need to know the language, processes, and basic tools of project management.

The Executive's Role in Project Management
Senior management plays a key part in the successful completion of projects within an organization. It is important that these individuals have a clear understanding of their personal role and responsibilities in the creation of a successful Project Management culture.

ROI (Return on Investment) for Projects

Every project produces a unique product or service.  However, it is important that the question, “What is the financial value of producing that product or service?” be asked. To answer the question, individuals need the tools to allow them to measure the financial benefit of implementing the result of a project.
